At Kitchell Memorial Library, our mission is to enrich the Morrisonville community by offering resources, fostering lifelong learning, and promoting cultural engagement for all.



It was established in 1964 to meet its patrons’ needs with educational, informational, and recreational resources. Kitchell Memorial Library adheres to the Library Bill of Rights and the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States.
Library cards are free of charge to all Ricks Township residents. The library offers abundant print and non-print material covering a broad spectrum of subject areas for adults and children, such as books, audiobooks, DVDs, and puzzles.
Books may be checked out for two weeks with a late fee of 5 cents per day for overdue materials. Non-print items may be checked out for one week with a late fee of 50 cents for each day overdue. Non-resident library cards cost $35.00 a year per family.
Kitchell Memorial Library is a member of the Illinois Heartland Library System and ILLINET. This membership enables our patrons to request library materials from libraries worldwide, which will be delivered directly to Kitchell Memorial Library for your use.
